But you know what would work and have actual tradition behind it? If they made a Slantback version of the new GMC Hummer.
Just saying

I think they call it a slant back

I would still hate it but it at least has history. As long as they don't call it a Hummer coupe.

In my opinion, if they just sold them as lifted cars, instead of making the body huge (vertically) with a narrow greenhouse, I think we’d all love them. Think lifted Subaru Legacy, or AMC Eagle.
All they are, is car that are lifted, then the lift is diminished because the bodies are so big.....

It looks small but you can stuff two weeks worth of food, gear, ammo, and water for five guys in that thing. Army ones have even less space because their is radio equipment right where the windows are on the red one.

It’s beltline makes it look like a reverse slantback

I test drove an accord crosstour and absolutely loved it. We were shopping for my wife’s car and she liked the RAV4 better but I was intoxicated by it.
If I’d been able to find one priced and spec’d like I was looking for I would have bought it instead of my TDI.

I make a point to get in front of fastback crossovers as quickly as I can so I don’t have to look at them.

B een seeing quite a few of both the newer Benz and BMW “coupe” or slant back SUVs recently. The Benz is not terrible - kind of interesting and quirky in a benzy kind of way - but the newer BMWs just don’t work for my eyes, (which is too bad because I kinda like the older BMW SUVs from a style standpoint.)
